Privacy notice.

How we handle information when you visit this site or engage with us. Short, honest, and without the legal theatre.

/ 01

What does this notice cover?

It covers how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit this site, send a contact form, or engage with us on a project.

We keep it short on purpose - if anything's unclear, we'll explain it directly rather than bury it in legal prose.

/ 02

What information do we collect?

What you give us directly - name, email, company, website, project type, budget, and whatever you put in your enquiry when you send a form or email.

Basic analytics - standard request data (IP address, user agent, referrer) and privacy-respecting analytics events that show how the site is being used.

Communication history - the emails and messages you send us, kept for context and continuity across a conversation or project.

/ 03

How do we use it?

To reply to your enquiry and keep the conversation going.

To scope, deliver, and operate the work we're engaged on.

To run this site and understand how it's performing.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing.

/ 04

What about the chat assistant?

The chat launcher on this site is an AI assistant. It says so before you type, and it answers using only our own content and resources.

Conversations may be stored to keep the thread going and to help us improve our answers. Personal details are removed from what we keep.

If you leave your contact details through the assistant, that only happens with your explicit consent - the 'I agree to be contacted' box - and we use them solely to get back to you about your enquiry.

The assistant sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

/ 05

Do we use cookies?

Two kinds of analytics, kept deliberately light. Vercel Web Analytics is privacy-friendly and cookieless - it counts visits without storing anything on your device or identifying you, so it runs for everyone and needs no consent.

Google Analytics is the only part that can use cookies, and it does so only if you accept. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics cookies; until you choose, Google Analytics runs in cookieless consent mode - nothing is stored on your device and only anonymous, aggregate pings are sent. Accept and standard analytics cookies are set; decline and they never are. You can change your answer any time from 'Cookie settings' in the footer.

/ 06

What are your rights over your data?

You can ask to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Email the address below and we'll handle it promptly.

/ 07

How do you reach us about your data?

Questions about this notice, or about the data we hold on you? Email hello@groupofdots.com.
